Immediate family and household members of a member (spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, grandchild, including step‑ and adoptive relations) and anyone in the same residence maintaining a single economic unit may join.

“Not only spouses and children can become Santa Barbara County Federal Credit Union members -- but also individuals who are members of an 'immediate family or household' of a credit union member. Immediate family is defined as spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, or grandchild. This includes stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings, and adoptive relationships. Household is defined as persons living in the same residence maintaining a single economic unit.”

Employees of Santa Barbara County FCU sponsor companies (listed) are eligible to join the credit union.

“In order to qualify for membership into SBCFCU, you must be employed by one of these local businesses, or be an immediate family member of a current member.”
