Mirastar Federal Credit Union

Membership extends to immediate family and household members of an eligible member. Spouses, children, parents, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, step‑siblings, step‑children, adoptive relationships and people living in the same residence as one economic unit can join.

“This includes your family members (spouses, children, parents, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, step‑siblings, step‑children, adoptive relationships, and persons living in the same residence maintaining a single economic unit.”

Active or retired employees of Santa Clara County are eligible for membership.

“You're an active or retired employee of Santa Clara County. Membership is available to employees and retirees of Santa Clara County.”

Employees and volunteers of one of the credit union's corporate partners may join. Mirastar also allows employees of companies and organizations that do business with or receive funding from a corporate partner to join.

“You're an active or retired employee of one of our corporate partners, or a volunteer. Mirastar offers membership to companies and organizations that do business with or receive funding from any Corporate Partner within our field of membership.”

Employees of specific health‑care organizations are eligible.

“Membership is available to employees of: * Santa Clara County Valley Medical Center * St. Louise Regional Hospital * O'Connor Hospital * Indian Health Center of Santa Clara Valley * Mayview Community Health Center * County of Santa Clara -- In‑Home Supportive Services (IHISS)”

Students or employees of the Santa Clara County Office of Education or any public school in Santa Clara County are eligible. The rule applies to both staff and students.

“Membership is available to students or employees of Santa Clara County Office of Education or any public school in Santa Clara County.”

Applicants who are not eligible through employment or family can join Mirastar by becoming members of the American Consumer Council; Mirastar will pay the ACC membership fee.

“If you do not qualify for membership as an employee of a Select Employer Group (SEG) or have an immediate family member that can sponsor you, you can choose to join Mirastar by becoming a member of the American Consumer Council -- we'll even cover the cost of your membership.”

Students, faculty, or staff of the Santa Clara County Office of Education or any public school in Santa Clara County can join the credit union. Family members are also eligible.
